I know that many issues films address have been going on for much longer than one particular film's timeframe. That doesn't mean we can't find a way to use a film as a tool as part of the conversation.

Kirtan is a music-based spiritual practice. It consists of repeating the different mantras, or names of the divine to invoke a meditative state.

First discovering kirtan during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, kirtan has grown to become a central driving force in my life.zander now leads kirtan across the country and accompanies seasoned wallahs.

It's vital that trans and non-binary folks are not only represented and understood on screen, through music and in spiritual circles, but warmly welcomed and stood up for in all contexts.
